Title: Any realtors on this site!?
Post by: Dmy0013 on February 04, 2017, 08:29:42 AM
I have had my condo up for sale for 2 months now with very little interest (2 showings)

Do I take it off the market and put it back up on the spring?  Do I just leave it on there?  Is it bad to leave your property for sale for a long time?

We want to move, we dont have to move so I can stay here if need be for the near future.

If the condo is not selling, likely the price is too high and/or the condition is below the market's expectations.  How did you price the property?  Did you look at recent comparable sales?  What about your competition - how is it priced?  If you are in a buyer's market, with high inventory and declining prices, you need to price the property to get it sold.  Don't blame the agent if it's over priced or needs work to appeal to buyers.

However, if your agent is not giving you good advice, not marketing the property, and generally not doing the job, it might be time to move on.  Just make sure you haven't overpriced the property before you blame the agent.
