World Market Coffee Rewards
« on: May 05, 2014, 03:55:28 PM »
I just joined the site today and thought I'd share this since it's a great deal. The store World Market has a coffee rewards (Explorer) club. It's worth joining even if there's no WM in your area but you order on line. The coffee is excellent and at most it's been a little more than $6 a pound, and sometimes it's a little over $3 pound. About once a month I either get a coupon for a free 12 oz bag, or a $10 off coupon. There are half price and free shipping days. The French Roast is my favorite...I also use an Aerobie Aeropress and an espresso (more like cocoa) mix from Aldi to make a mocha.  I can't quite determine the cost but it's around .60 cents a cup, including half and half and sweetener.

Nice,
I am addicted to starbucs french roast. Its normally 8.99 for 12 ounces. but it goes on sale for 6.99 every month and I always seem to have a coupon or 2 for 1.50 or 2.00 off. 5$ for 12 ounces, I guess thats 6.25 a pound. It seemed a lot cheaper until I did the math....

I love World Market coffee.  I just got done with a bag of the Costa Rican Tarrazu and am currently working on a bag of the Moka Java blend.  I think their coffee is the sweet spot between bargain basement coffee and the high end stuff that runs $10+ for a 12 oz bag.  I live alone and drink 1 or 2 cups a day, often black, so the cost is pretty low for me.

I loved it when I lived close to one of their phyiscal stores and could walk over to pick up coffee on Wednesday.  For every six bags of coffee you buy, you receive a coupon for a free 12 oz bag.  On Wednesdays, you get double credit, so every 3 bags results in a freebie.  I know this is all priced into the bags of coffee you normally buy, but it's still a nice perk.

I just got another $10 off coupon today. Ralphus I like the Costa Rican one best. The ones from Kenya and Peruvia are good too. Dave the French Roast is really smooth. I order on line when there is either free shipping or a 2 for 1 sale and they usually don`t offer that on every flavor. I`ve got some of the mocha java blend but haven`t tried it yet. I forget to look for the double deal Wednesdays. Those can add up to free coffee quickly.

I am a huge fan of WM coffee. Italian Roast is my jam. The Explorer perks make it pretty cost effective.

But in other coffee news, I am awaiting my first batch of green coffee beans to try out roasting at home (with a hot air popcorn popper)!

So it is true! The double deal Wednesdays this IS real. However, be warned! You buy your 3 bags and you get a coupon mailed or emailed to you within 2 days for a free bag of coffee...you can't just walk up to the cash with 4 bags and expect to pay for 3 (whoops!)

Just thought I would mention it.

Thanks for the info though, I have been looking for a way to get good coffee at a reasonable price!

I'll look into this, but as the only coffee consumer in my house and free coffee at work during the week I run through about a pound every couple months.
