Brilliant documentary - watched it a number of years ago and it instilled an unrivaled hatred for the chief architect for all this crap and wastefulness we currently deal with.

It's a story of how the world was moved from dealing in "needs" to becoming obsessed with "wants".

Highly recommended.  It had a high creepiness / 1984 factor that makes it fascinating and disturbing...

We tried to get into it, based on previous recommendations from the forums, and couldn't.

Turned it off after giving it an hour of our lives.  YMMV.
We are two former teachers who accumulated a bunch of real estate, retired at 29, and now travel the world full time with two kids.
If you want to know more about me, or how we did that, or see lots of pictures, this Business Insider profile tells our story pretty well.
