Remodeler in the twin cities
« on: January 20, 2019, 08:03:53 AM »
Hello,

First off, I know the most mustachian thing would be to remodel myself or not remodel at all, but such is life :)

Anyhow, we bought a 1960s rambler a few years back and remodeled the upstairs already.  The final product is amazing, but our contractor was a nightmare.  18 month story compressed into 1 sentence - he screwed everything up then walked away and filed bankruptcy.

So now that we have recovered a bit from the trauma, we are looking to get the basement over with.  It should be very straight forward project, nothing major or structural needs to be done.

So anyone have a good recommendation of a remodeling contractor in the twin cities?  Specifically northern suburbs???

John Miller at Waldenwood does top notch work and is very reliable. Probably not the cheapest, but he’s done two projects for my parents, and they are quite happy.. john.miller@waldenwood.com

Thanks for the response!  Their headquarters is like 90 minutes from my house though, I'm assuming they'd jack up their bid quite a bit (if they took it at all) to compensate for all the driving.

Anyone know one in the Northern / Eastern suburbs?
