Post by: brellis1vt on March 25, 2022, 06:22:48 AM
Does anyone have a recommended website to quote multiple car insurance companies?

No experience, but I know of thezebra.com and gabi.com

Thanks for posting these suggestions. Just filled out the online forms on both thezebra.com and gabi.com. Results were definitely lower prices quoted on gabi.
Next step is they are 'verifying my info', then will give a final quote & accept my money. We'll see how far off the final quote is from the screen quote (less than half of my current HO insurance).

Call an Independent Agent.  I don't know your state, but in mine, 80% of insurance is sold through an Independent.  They can write insurance from lots of companies and can price compare and probably can tell you without even checking who will be cheapest.

My son did the online quoting when he got his first car.  Then he called Geico to "spend 15 minutes and save 15%".  Then he called my independent who recommended the same company I'm with.  His rate with them is exactly 1/3 what Geico is.  I'd love if you bought Geico as I hold a bunch of Berkshire Hathaway stock.

And no, I'm not an insurance anything.  I'm an engineer.
