Title: Rec: OpenCulture.com for free audio books, ebooks, textbooks
Post by: eveline on February 04, 2016, 02:11:00 PM
It's a wonderful site. I just started a long commute to work, and I am not going to pay for audio book subscriptions that give me one book a month. I can listen to a novel in about 3 days based on my commute. So, I found this. Classics to guide you through modern life.

Cool! Here's another. Their mission: "To make all books in the public domain available, for free, in audio format on the internet."

I LOVE librovox, and many people have uploaded their works to Youtube. If you have a good reading voice, please consider volunteering. A good reader makes a phenomenal difference.

My local library allows checkout of audiobooks through the "Overdrive" app - I've listened to quite a few books for free through the library!

I listen to Overdrive constantly.  I didn't know about LibriVox!
