Radioshack netflix deal = half off netflix

Hope this is the right spot and some other people find it useful, since it seems a lot of people here use netflix over cable. Radioshack has a promo going where you buy a cell phone, laptop, or tablet and you get 6 months of netflix.

Well read the fine print and for online purchases it includes no contract phones priced at $29.99 or greater and you can stack up to 10 codes. No activation required you get the codes after the order ships.

Well I bought 2 boost mobile kyocera hydro phones for $61.72 shipped (free ground shipping on orders over $25) so I'm supposed to get 2 codes worth 1 year of netflix. Well that's $34.16 cheaper than paying the $7.99 a month and I'll ebay to phones to recoup some costs.

Wow. Seems like a really good arbitrage opportunity.  I would definitely be interested to hear exactly how it all pans out. Think you could also sell the Netflix codes and come out ahead after selling the phones?

Edit: looks like people are selling those codes on ebay. Generally going for about $30. So assuming you get 30 for the code plus 20 per phone minus shipping and ebay fees it is doubtful you could MAKE money off of this. But it does seem to make good sense if you were going to pay full price for Netflix anyway. By the way Netflix is 7.99 a month, so I think that changes you numbers a bit.

That's a possibility. Looks like the phones are selling for $25-$35 each gong by completed listings. The Netflix gift subscriptions are going for $25-$30 per 6 months. I've never searched for pre-paid netflix subscriptions but I think this offer started Sunday so ebay is probably pretty saturated with em at the moment.
