Morgan Housel

Before I started reading MMM I was a big fan of The Motley Fool. I  first learned about investing through little Fool articles in our local paper in the Green sheet pages.  This was before the internet.  Years later I found www.fool.com

I must admit that about 6 years ago or so they seemed to go too commercial for my tastes (read this and act type emails and such) and my finding MMM fit perfectly with me looking elsewhere for financial advice.  That was really where the idea of FIRE first took hold for me, and meshed very well with what I learned from The Fool.

One part of the Fool that did NOT change was Morgan Housel.  I read every article he wrote, and many are worth rereading every so often. He announced he is leaving The Motley Fool and I will miss his articles.  Here is his last one:

Here is a link that lists his last 50 articles.

Housel was the only author I read at The Motley Fool; I had an RSS feed for just his posts.

He's joining a venture capital firm, but it sounds like his primary role there will still be writing.

I saw that.  It will be interesting to see if his writing changes.

I see you are from Milwaukee.  I am near Racine.  Small world :)

I always enjoyed Morgan's articles.  Sorry to see him leave, but hope he enjoys the new job!
