looking for a good battery for older digital camera
« on: August 17, 2015, 01:18:55 AM »
I've got a Panasonic FX-7 digital camera (circa 2005) that works fine but needs a new battery- old one won't hold a charge anymore. I've looked online at Amazon and similar stores but am wary of the reviews that some of these after-market batteries also quit holding a charge after a few weeks.

Any recommendations?

A couple of years ago I bought a spare battery on Amazon for my 2006 FujiFilm FinePix F10. Despite mixed reviews, the spare I got works as well as the original.

A quick search on Amazon shows that they are plenty inexpensive for your camera (around $10, or even less). Well worth it for your $400 point and shoot, assuming of course that you are still using it.

Your best bet is to find a battery and vendor with good new (“most recent”) reviews. Unless it literally ships straight to you from China, and has great reviews, I would not buy the cheapest one.
