HELP with do-it-yourself sound damping room divider/curtain

Hey friends! We have a project that's entirely out of our wheelhouse. We're looking to create a sound damping room divider to hang from a curtain rod. They cost up to $600 new! We need something that's about 4 feet wide by 8 feet tall. We'd like to keep the weight under 20 pounds because we have a tension rod already with a max weight of 24 pounds. Any suggestions on materials we might use and where to find them? We've no idea where to start on this.
