When I was expecting my first kid I obsessed over my health insurance plans at work, determined to minimize the costs as we were sure to have a ton of medical bills that year. I ended up creating a spreadsheet where I could plug in info about each plan (premiums, deductibles, etc) and it would tell me my total out of pocket costs for certain levels of medical bills. It made deciding between two plans really easy and saved me thousands that year!
