Has anyone used Lemonade for home owners insurance?
« on: February 02, 2021, 10:07:39 PM »
I tried the search function, did not find this company listed.  Sorry if this is a common topic.

A friend of mine recommended Lemonade Insurance for homeowners insurance.  He said he is saving 60% on his prior insurance company.
Obviously I have a lot of equity wrapped up in my house, and I don't want to lose it, so I'm wondering if people have had any experience with this company.  Are they legit?  60% off!!??

FWIW, after living in my current home for 3 years, I have not made any claims.  Given I'm in California, my primary concerns would be wildfire and earthquake which are both additional coverages on my current insurance policy and it appears I could add them on to a policy with Lemonade.
Thanks

Edited to add:  I completed a quote with Lemonade and my HO insurance would go from $109/month with AAA to $47 (56% discount) with Lemonade.  Will probably pull the trigger once re-financing is complete.
