NYC Folks-Free Groceries!
« on: January 29, 2015, 09:42:34 PM »
While browsing online I found a deal for a new grocery delivery service called Farmigo that delivers fresh groceries straight from local farmers. I have the referral link for $20 towards your first order, no purchase necessary. I tried it last week and was able to get a pound of grassfed ground beef, a loaf of challah bread, and .5 lb of vermont cheddar cheese curds for $21.50, making my total out of pocket $1.50. Not a whole lot of stuff, but that is still $20 I didn't have to spend!

Figured I would share the deal with fellow NYC dwelling Mustachians: https://www.farmigo.com/ref/QXIZDaJcm@Q8lIaDijI

Thanks for sharing.

I'm not one to shop purely organic, but these seem SOOOO expensive... $5 for a dozen eggs, or a half gallon of milk?? Even with the discount, those prices definitely freak me out. I probably won't be using the service beyond the original purchase.

Yeah, it is very unmustachian to me to have an organic delivery service, but I figured that if the quality was good enough, I'd consider using it past the free $20, as having healthy food is pretty important to me. I did think all the items that I got were very high quality, but not enough to justify the price.

At least that is $20 I didn't have to spend, on things I probably would have bought anyway at a lower quality!
