FORTIFIED Bike
« on: March 16, 2021, 11:49:48 AM »
Anyone know what happened to this bike company? Their website is no longer in service. I bought their bike based on this blog's recommendation 3.5 years ago. Just wondering what's going to happen if ex-customers need replacement parts.

It looks like they probably didn't make it, though I have never heard of the company. However, it looks like it probably was a traditional bike, not an ebike, right? If so, it looks like they used shimano components, so I assume the vast majority of parts are standardized, and shouldn't be much of an issue. If something non standard like a fork breaks, I would personally just find something compatible. I rode a mountain bike with a random "junkyard" fixed fork for many years.

Yeah it's a traditional bike. The only thing is it came with "anti-theft" secure bolts/tools. I hope I don't lose the tools it came with since then it will be difficult to disassemble some parts.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
