Hello All!
Just wanted to share some thoughts about this book as I picked it up a couple of days ago to reread (I read it back in sophomore year of high school).
It's crazy to me, but this book has more meaning to me now than it ever did back in high school. In high school I was still under the impression that I wanted to be a super rich millionaire and have a Porsche 911 turbo by the time I was 25.
When Guy Montag meets his teen aged neighbor Clarisse, she says so many things that spoke to me. Asking questions about "slowing down" "stop to smell flowers" and really just taking things a lot slower and appreciating life as it is without all the "fluff".
I'm probably not doing the book justice by writing this off the top of my head, but I wanted to recommend this book to you mustachians because it will defiantly make you think! I have to be honest though.. it might make you feel a little sad inside right now if you are working a corporate gig that sucks.. (one of the specific reasons why they don't allow books in that world because they create emotion inside someone!)
The only thing that keeps me feeling good at the end of the day is that I am saving up as much money as I can right now, and reading MMMs articles that inspires hope! I no longer want to be a wheel in the cog, but my own independent person!
So with that being said... go read this book, get rustled a bit and keep chipping away at your FU money! :)
