Free Online Bill Pay Aggregator?
« on: January 19, 2024, 07:56:09 PM »
Hmm. I've been using an online bill pay aggregator for nearly 20 years -

They just announced that they are shutting down. :( My credit union does have a Bill Pay function, but it's not the same. With MCF, I linked my billing account, so all of the bills were there electronically in the portal. They listed each bill, the amount due, and due date. I "Clicked to Pay", went to the next page, and confirmed dates and bank account. Them PAID. It literally was one site, and less than 2 minutes to pay all of the aggregated bills.

If I move to the CU for bill pay, I have to log in to each site to determine this month's amount, then toggle to the CU Bill Pay page, tell them which vendor I want to pay, and enter the amount. Much more logging in and out, and I think the possibility of transposing amounts will be high.

Does anyone else have an online bill pay aggregator that they can recommend? My sister is Very Sad about the MCF demise as well, so I told her I'd ask around for suggestions.

@Sandi_k, have you looked at your CUís bill pay site recently to confirm whether they offer the type of payment service youíre looking for? I ask because this is the business I retired from in 2022 and most bill pay providers these days support the functionality where your bill amount automatically gets loaded into the system and you donít have to do the back & forth that you mention. ETA: The service is called eBill. Ask your CU if they offer it.
