I was curious to get some feedback from you guys on EnergyOgre. I wasnt able to find any threads here on the company, I apologize if it has been discussed before. If you dont happen to be familiar with it, it seems to be a company that shops for electricity for you. You pay a $10 monthly fee, and basically they shop the best rates on electricity for you and tell you when its time to switch plans so that you can take advantage of promotional rates ect. It seems that they tend to switch your plan about every six months. I haven't used it myself, but my brother has been telling me about it. I dont know how many kilowatts hes using but its got to be a lot, hes in a 2700 sq. feet 2 story house thats not particularly energy efficient and his energy bill is averaging about $40 a month. For the first 6 months he was paying 1.5 cents per kilowatt hour. That sounds crazy. After the first 6 months they have switched him to a plan that is 4 cents per KW. He seems to love the company, but I wanted to get some feedback from some long term users. I'm probably going to try it when I get done moving next month.
