Word on all of the travel blogs is that the bonus on the Chase Freedom card will be increased on November 15th to $150 after spending $500 in 3 months, plus an additional $25 for adding an authorized user.

Is this just for new accounts?

It would be for new accounts, or anyone who got the bonus on their Chase Freedom card at least 2 years ago and canceled it. 

Unfortunately, it looks like the blog rumors were wrong.  I don't see the offer anywhere.

Nice, updated the OP.  I don't believe they've done a 10% cash back thing before, but Amazon is a pretty nice category to use it for.

Thanks for this info! New card holders also get $150 bonus after $500 spent in three months.  I've been eyeing a really nice laptop that runs about $1000 for the past couple of months (yes, yes I know, but the one I'm typing from is having motherboard issues and needs to be replaced).  With this deal I'll get $250 cash back on the purchase, worth the credit inquiry.

This was a great offer perfect timing for holidays. We got most of our gifts through Amazon to take advantage of the 10% cash back.

Me and my siblings went in together for a combined gift for my parents. I ended up ordering and wrapping it for them on amazon and the 10% back paid most of my share.

I've already gotten the $150 + $25 points credited to my account too. I've only had the card for a few weeks, but I paid it off online which I think triggered all of the points being rewarded.
