Howdy.
My wife and I are on the old RW plan ($10/month). Her phone busted, so we are considering switching to Ting/Google Voice for her. If she likes it, I'll join her. We both have Wifi all day, so as I understand it, we can run calls and texts through GV, bypassing Ting's charges except for when out and about.
The question is: how does that work, really? If we use hangout to text, I get it. But what if someone texts her? How do we set it up so that doesn't count as usage and we can stay in the low-priced plans?
Unfortunately, I'm as tech savvy as my grandpa (he isn't tech savvy). I need someone to explain it to me and deal with stupid, obvious questions.
