Buy Discount Grocery Gift Cards w/ Raise
« on: November 14, 2016, 05:48:43 PM »
I found this site called Raise that is a marketplace for buying and selling gift cards.  I found that you can buy gift cards for almost every grocery store for discounts up to 5%.  You can also get restaurant and other retail gift cards for even bigger discounts than this, such as 6.9% off Hotels.com currently, and 17.5% off PetSmart.

This can be a good way to save a bit of cash if you are already going to buy things at these stores already.

For my first order with the company I bought a $42.76 Meijer gift card for $35.35 total.  We spend around $300 a month on groceries, so this could add up to a pretty good amount after a while.

Also, if you sign up through my link you get another $5 off your first order.

Thanks in advance to anyone who uses it: http://geta.raise.com/kkopidlan

I've used Raise before (found a good deal on Petsmart before I realized getting cat food on Amazon was overall cheaper). A quick search for my two local grocery stores offer a 1% discount, but my AMEX offers 6% back.I think if you're ever going to buy new *stuff* (Homegoods/Marshalls/TJMaxx at 13% is pretty good) then Raise can be a good deal. But I think at the more popular stores (at least where Mustachians are concerned), you'll be better of with a credit card with a good percentage back.
