I got something in the mail the other day.... and signed up. been meaning to anyway cause a friend told me they refund all his atm fees. and it is a no fee checking acct.

at anyrate if you setup a direct deposit min of $250 and it deposits twice before january they will give you $300.
(see site for details...i think initial signup period ends september 25th.)

I know 300 is not much... but hey 300 is 300...

Either I screwed something up, or they take quite a while to deposit the bonus money. When (if?) I finally get it, this will have been an easy $300! I don't believe it caused a hard pull on my credit or anything, very easy to do all online.

USAA is actually a great company that cares about their customers, and goes way beyond what they have to do... particularly for military service members.  Therefore, I urge you guys not to use this offer solely for the free money and then leave.

Completely agree!  I have a USAA account just not the direct deposit or ATM card.  If I can add something to my existing account and make $300, I'll do it.

just an update i got my $300 yesterday Jan 5th.
money for nothing but a few mouse clicks.

I did this about 6 months ago. USAA deposited the $300 to my account on time. (Hassle with my company and their payroll company about getting my direct deposit switched though)

mine is automated/online...
i can change how much and where each dollar or % goes to any number of accounts... i think 10 day lead time for changes to take effect.
