The Comfort Crisis by Michael Easter

Has anyone read this book? I’m only halfway through but I found it very interesting so far. Relates really well to stoicism/frugality/the general will to push yourself. Of course I got it from the library 😉 Would love to hear others’ thoughts on it.

I read it. It's been a little while and many books later, so I don't know what I'll remember ...

That said, I do think some of the conversations around how we've moved a bit too far from our natural past in some ways are very relevant. I can't help but think that if the world hadn't taken so many wrong turns with the food system, for example, we might be in a different situation re: viruses.

(PS, I do *not* agree with those who are pushing health as an alternative to prudent disease defense)

There is a book club section lower down in the forum, BTW. I think the "reader" in the title of this section is meant as "a reader of the Mr. Money Mustache" blog. :)
