Alternatives to couch/ lounge?

I'm looking at alternative options for replacing a couch/ lounge, since they take up a lot of space and are hard to transport/ get rid of I would like something that would be a better option for moving around etc. I guess bean bags could work? Any ideas?

A futon with wooden frame: doubles as a bed for guests and the frame disassembles easily for moving. You could also make a daybed with a twin mattress and some pillows.

My teenage son loves having a twin bed in the family room instead of a couch.  I don't really know why, maybe because lying down is easier while playing games.   

It started when we had to toss the old sofa and he wanted the larger guest bed for his room.  I moved his twin mattress out to the family room to get it closer for a disposal run when he co opted it, and refused to let me buy a sofa.   More money for my pocket, so ok.

How were you using your couch? That should determine how it is replaced. If it was just there because living rooms are supposed to have couches, that isn't actually an enforceable rule.

Neat, glad that helped. I didn't even know these were an option until I had Saudi and Turkish friends.
Other than the links, maybe try to find a Middle Eastern shopping area? Or a more in-depth internet search (I just did a quick "turkish couch" search for 3min).  "Majlis" seems to be a related word to this style.
