Ok, if you are still afraid of microwave ovens then I welcome you to read this. (http://www.fda.gov/Radiation-EmittingProducts/ResourcesforYouRadiationEmittingProducts/ucm252762.htm) Also welcome to the year 2016, we have some pretty awesome stuff I guess...er iPhones are kind of impressive and I personally like the idea of self driving cars which is becoming pretty popular.

All jokes asside, I am not scared at all of microwaves, but I do have a bit of fear for putting plastics in them...anyway, go to Walmart and buy yourself a Stone Wave oven...better yet, Goodwill. I see them there all the time. If you are not convinced that you should give up your $10 for one by the end of my post, then at least put it in an amazon wish list or something and sleep on it.

If you have never seen one of these before, it is an as-seen-on-TV product that came out about 5 or 6 years ago. A lot of people bought them and didn't like them, mainly because they didn't know how to use them. That is what this post is about, how to properly use one.

Let me start out by saying this, I just had a very nutritious meal, high in protein and low in carbs, for about 75 cents. Yesterday I went to Kroger and bought some chicken tenderloins because they were on sale (1.99 a pound, score!). I had some frozen green beans in my freezer that had been there for awhile, steam in the bag they were .99 each. I used 1 tenderloin and 1/10 of the bag of veggies...maybe more. I am currently full, but if I weren't I could simply make another in about 3 minutes.

So here is how to use a stone wave oven:

Rule #1 - Raw Chicken (and other meats) must be cut thin, otherwise they will not cook all the way through. (think 1 inch cubes)
Rule #2 - Do not make any cakes/brownies/ etc in your stone wave...I don't care what pinterest or the box says. They taste like crap.
Rule #3 - ALL meals consist of three parts
     1. A Meat
     2. A Veggie
     3. A Spice
Rule #4 - 3 minutes is the magic number, at that point, all raw meat should be cooked.
Rule #5 - Only exception to rule #3 is breakfast, you can make some awesome eggs and bacon in this thing

Here is the recipe I just made:

1 Chicken Tenderloin Cubed
1/2 cup frozen green beans
1 tbs Mustard (I use the fancy kind with the little mustard seeds in it, trust me it is worth it)

Put the green beans at the bottom, you always want the ingredients with the most water at the bottom because then the steam runs through the rest which helps it cook. Then the cubed chicken, and then the mustard on top. Put it in the microwave for 3 minutes and stir it when complete.

You can do exactly this with any casserole dish.

Pyrex storage containers. Glass bowl goes in microwave or oven to cook or reheat and the lid goes on, once it cools down, for any leftovers.

Microwave cakes suck but brownies are actually pretty good. I make mine in a coffee mug. 4T flour, 3T sugar, 2T cocoa powder, 2T melted coconut oil, 2T water, microwave up to 2 minutes.

Butcher counter at my grocery store has chicken breasts for $1.99/lb all the time. I prefer the stovetop for cooking chicken, especially, but I make extra and reheat leftovers like a mofo.

Green beans, mustard, and chicken is an excellent flavor combo

I should clarify, I wouldn't exactly tell you to buy this if you have another method like those before have mentioned. If you don't, however, this is definitely the way to go. The stove wave isn't a new idea, but it is simply an old idea that you should take advantage of.

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
