$50 in free tuna
« on: August 27, 2015, 05:49:50 AM »
This applies to me and probably a bunch of you too! Starkist Tuna settled a lawsuit, and you can now make a claim. If you purchased their tuna between 2009 and 2013 (appx. dates) you can file a claim at tunalawsuit.com for either $25 cash or $50 in free tuna. No receipt required, and claims can be submitted until November. Think of all those free brown bag lunches!

Going to try this. My DH loves tuna and we always get Starkist.

Wow sweet!  I actually DID buy starkist tuna during this time frame- and a lot of it!

my cats get tuna ~2-3x/month.  I'm quite certain I bought quite a few cans of Starkist during this time.
Sweet!  Free cat food!

Just keep in mind- you are likely not to get anything close to $50 in free tuna when the final payout hits. That's just the maximum.

Anyone know what the Redbull claimers ended up with?

I definitely bought their tuna. Thanks for the heads-up! For some weird reason (probably because it's what my mom used to get), it's the only brand I buy.

My first thought was: Yay! Free tuna!

My second thought was: Oh my god, what did I ingest while eating Starkist tuna? Thankfully, they allegedly cheated me on tuna quantity - not quality. Phew.

Your second thought was my first thought.

I don't know, but Vibram claims are still outstanding nearly a year after they stopped taking claims.  Who knows how long it'll take for tuna claims to pay...
