Will Prowse was living in an RV for 7 years. He just sold it and everything he owns and has started travelling.
Thought some might find it interesting.

He's quickly demonstrating how going with no plan is a waste of time and money. Not saying he should be living like a tourist, but all he's managing to do is walk all around Hong Kong, and now Tokyo without doing a damn thing...but walk the streets. I'm following his journey because it is still intriguing. However, I would at least research something about where i as going instead of randomly riding buses around the city all day.

He already gave up on travelling and just came back and bought a new van. That was fast.

LOL!

I saw that too. Like Late Bloomer said, all he did was walk around Hong Kong and Tokyo not doing anything other than making videos of himself walking around and talking to himself. I would be bored after a couple days too.

Yeah, he's good at the van living thing, but he's not a good traveler lol. He totally missed out on all the good food!

He discovered that he didn't like 'that' kind of travelling. That's ok.
He also discovered that he's getting tired of van life (after 7 years). That's ok.
The videos, where he provided tips for those considering a similar van dwelling lifestyle, were very good.
He'll continue to make more van customization videos. However, he's looking for a different lifestyle now. (i.e. getting an apartment)
He does what he wants and (more importantly) he does what makes him happy.
I respect that.

Is there anyone that likes the kind of travel he was doing?
He did it poorly, for, what, a few weeks? A few months, maybe?
Maybe change what you're doing, instead of deciding it's bad.

He now lives out of a mini-van. What does he do all day? You can't stay inside a mini-van all day and not go nuts.
I could see doing it for a short time and then going home, but that is his home.

Plenty of people do what is now commonly called "vanlife." You don't stay inside it all day.
We have 3 of us in a 21'6" RV (a fairly small RV; for comparison's sake, a Ford F350 truck, is 20'10", so ours is just 8" longer than a big truck). We're inside sometimes, but also outdoors quite a lot.
C40 lives in a van, you should check out his journal (https://forum.mrmoneymustache.com/journals/c40's-journal-'cause-my-life-is-dope-and-i-do-dope-sh*t'/) and blog (http://mywilddreams.net/). Just scroll down the main page of the blog for pics of his van setup. :)

He now wants to buy a house. Guess mini-van life got to him.
-
Sounds like he just doesn't know what he wants.

Very few of us know what we want. I certainly can respect people who are out there trying different things. Of course most people don't live out that trial and error on the internet for other people to discuss. I'm sure my life would seem pretty frivolous if it were reduced to videos I made when I had a new idea or life theory to try out.

I'm all for trying things out. I recently encouraged someone at a Seattle MMM meetup to try out a similar arrangement.
Hopping from one thing to another after a very brief period though isn't really even giving it a fair shake.
Most of us aren't sure if we want to do something, so we try it out. It seems like he's not sure if he even wants to want it, leading to rapid switches.
I just think it would behoove him to think about what he wants before trying things seemingly at random.

Yeah, his behavior does seem to indicate a certain level of desperation. I think people who are "living the dream" (and I certainly am among those people) can get a bit despondent when it doesn't make them as happy as they thought it would. I can understand his urge to make rapid-fire, half-hearted attempts to try new things when he got sick of #vanlife or whatever.
It can be hard sometimes when you live a life that everyone constantly tells you is amazing, but you're sick of it.

Totally.
Very well said.
