I'll be honest... I miss the hustle and the social interaction.
Right now, I'm FI but building a career in real estate. It usually takes a while, and though I have paying clients now and am networking like a fiend... it's still gonna take time. I'm also potentially joining a startup as a cofounder, but my equity is small and my tasks will be project based (and largely centered around customer acquisition).
A few years ago, I worked at Starbucks and had the time of my life. I was hustling then - had 4-5 side jobs going at once, raking in $3-4K a month. I miss those days. And I feel like as much as I do now... I'm still sitting on my ass too much. I am highly driven and I've learned that the more things I have going on, the more productive I am. When I have too much idle time, it starts to affect my relationships... I start to get needy and I don't like it.
So... thoughts on getting back into Starbucks? I used to open 4x a week and actually didn't mind it. Plus I'd get some hours in when nobody is really trying to get in touch with me anyway (5am-9am on weekdays, 5am-11 or 12 on weekends).
After 90 days, they'll match 401K contributions, which I'll set to 50% of my paycheck (the max). I also contribute to a SEP with my real estate commissions.
The other half of my paycheck? Probably throw it into investments or use it to pay down the mortgage on rental #3.
Thoughts? I'm 25 and feel like I need to hustle more.

I liked working at a cafe. People are very grateful when you give them caffeine!!! And it's fun to interact with lots of different types of people, both staff and customers

Your life sounds exhausting to me! 5 am on a weekend... Whew.
But if you want to do it, give it a try! You can always quit if you don't like it. I think I would enjoy a part-time job at a less-frequented coffee shop or bar with time to hang out and talk to customers. (After noon, though...)

I sometimes miss the camaraderie and social aspects of the service industry too, so I completely understand why you'd want to pick up some shifts at Starbucks. Also there doesn't seem to be any downsides, since as MonkeyJenga mentioned you can quit if your other projects or hustles start to pick up and you feel it squeezing your time too much. And since you have experience and want to be working there it will probably be a good experience for your coworkers and customers.

To me the bigger question is why do you want the career in real estate? To feel "successful"? To be what others think you should be? To make more money?

If you're seriously FI at 25, then you don't need the money, just the camaraderie, right? Well, then why don't you do volunteer work instead. This way, you leave a job open for someone who needs it, the volunteer position can be super flexible, you can quit anytime, and you'd be doing some good for society - it's a win all the way around. Just a thought.

Based on the demographics on this board, I'd say hard work is the most likely reason why, coupled with a lack of student loan debt and a bit of investment success.

Of course!
If for any reason it's not as fun as before, you'll learn something (like what's different). Then you can try something else while you figure out how to get the feeling you're after.
And keep your eyes open for customers who seem interesting. They might know an even more interesting job/activity you could try.

Just for clarification Starbucks will match up to 4% of IRA contributions. I believe Op means the max you can contribute (unmatched) is 50%.
Starbucks was mentioned in the "Power of Habits" book as having some of the best Job Training out there.

Elsewhere? Yes.
Here? More likely a combination of extreme savings and extremely low expenses. May or may not be sustainable.

For the OP: Do what makes you happy.
If you're truly FI, the real estate is unnecessary. If you're doing it because you enjoy it, great! Do it.
If you want to do Starbucks cause you'd enjoy it, great! Do it.
If it gets too exhausting, quit.
You have complete control/freedom. Take advantage of it and do what you want to do.

Do it if you want to. My hubby is a retired engineer and at first he consulted p.t. but got sick of it. Then one day he said that he wanted to deliver flowers for a florist. He did it when young and loved it. 2 hours later we go into a old renovated building downtown and there was a small floral shop. He walked in and talked to them and it turned out it was a mom & pop shop and pop was sick of delivering. So now he works 10 hours/week and loves it.
