According to the link, occasionally breaking the rules has become part of haiku so I have a loophole. :)
I spent a semester in university composing limericks about my friends... Haiku is a bit trickier for me.
Yesterday over the pine-scented hillToday near the empty beachCatching the perfect moonIt says about my main activities in the last two days. I lost track of not only the day of the week, but also the season of the year. I live in San Diego. We traveled to China in April in a hot, humid city. Coming back to San Diego seems like returning to a fall. I had to think hard which season it is the other day. LOL. Keep writing Haiku!

I read this before bed the night you posted it. I got the 1st 2 lines while laying in bed - but they disappeared by morning....
