Title: Information on making the FIRE leap
Post by: mtnrider on April 07, 2019, 08:07:10 AM
I’m close to FIRE (Yay!) and I want to better understand the transition.  I know about finances and frugality reasonably well.  And I know something about community and physical activity.  I want to learn more about FIRE taxes, insurance, and legal info.  And I especially want to learn _what I don’t know that I need to know_.

Are there good books or blogs with details of the prep and the last few steps?

Here are some posts on another early retirement forum:

(You may have to become a member to read them, but I don't think you do.)

You could also read my journal here, which starts a bit before I retired and talks about my experience, although it doesn't touch on your items directly (maybe there's a thing or two in there about taxes):

Good luck!

You don't have to leave this very subforum.

I didn't find the threads complete so I asked about withdrawals
