Hi,
I am sorry if this has been asked before , but I am at a loss at what to do here.
My husband and I will be relocating to Canada , we are dual citizens (usa/cdn) we currently live in ohio,
husband plans on quitting his job and we are moving to Canada.
There will be about 6-8 weeks that we will still be in ohio without his company health insurance, Cobra is a option but I believe its very expensive, does any one know of any plans for 6-8 weeks, we are both 54 ,non smokers, healthy weight, the only "pre existing " condition is my husband takes a low dose statin for cholesterol.
I have tried researching but I am feeling very overwhelmed , I read about short term insurance policy's, but they look like they dont cover anything, even if you are in a accident. I dont mind paying for a policy for a few weeks to have peace of mind. I am not certain about the cost of cobra from my husbands company, that may be the way to go ????? ..........can I use HSA funds to pay for cobra ??
thank you for any input on this , like I said we only need it for several weeks.
