Sorry, just the mimosas talking:)

Super jealous! I just moved my FIRE date up by 3 weeks. I have a vacation in mid-June where I would return to work for two weeks before heading out for my thru-hike of the Appalachian Trail but I decided to can those last two weeks so I can be sure I have all my loose ends tied up. The added bonus is I don't have to think about going back to work at the tail end of my vacation, and it turns into a pretty sweet way to kick off FIRE. My last day is now June 10th.

Almost 6 months since I FIREd and I still can't get past my puritan ethic about drinking before noon. Heck, even before 5pm most days! Bloody Mary in the morning does sound like it would be sinfully good some time though...

Happy Tuesday! No mimosas here but I'm reading in bed and thinking about making coffee. :)

Morning drinking is pretty rare for us, just special occasions. In this case my wife and I were celebrating our first weekday home together:)

I've never understood the taboo against morning drinking. As long as you aren't abusing alcohol or shirking your duties due to intoxication, who the hell cares when you drink?
OP congrats to you and your wife!!

That's one of the greatest feelings, not remembering what day it is and knowing you don't care. It happens to me when I'm off work for more than a few days and I can't wait for it to be permanent!
