I'm not FIRE'd, but I'm fully remote and I'd report the exact opposite. For years I would essentially never go except at the office. Get to the office in the morning, walk to my computer, log in, go the bathroom.  I seriously wouldn't go most weekends. What was the point of having a BM if I wasn't being paid for it? It's been over a year now, and I'm nowhere near the level of regularity I was in the office. It's the only thing I miss.

Maybe you are exercising more and eating more healthily and improving your health with more time in FIRE.

I'm not FIREd, but my BMs improved drastically after getting over a chronic condition and being more healthy. It's one of the main questions holistic type doctors ask as good and regular BMs  are a sign of good health. Yes, my doctor would ask me details on the color, size, and shape of my BMs. I miss those conversations...

"Nurses are obsessed with poop". That is one of the first sentences that was uttered by my "Foundations of Nursing" instructor.  And it is so true. You can tell so much about someone's health from their poo. Healthy poo, healthy you! (Says the nurse with IBS. Awwww).

I think her name was Jillian? She seemed to advocate a wholistic diet as I remember...

I was scratching my head and trying to figure out what BM could possibly stand for, other than...well...BM. I don't think it will matter much by the time I can eventually FIRE.

My sphincter is trashed from trying to keep a seal against the backpressure from decades of eating junk food under too much stress.

I suspect though that my waste elimination will be healthier and a bit more relaxing.

My last couple of weeks starting on Dec. 18.
3 day weekend, 3 day workweek, 5 day Christmas vacation, 3 day work week, 4 day new years vacation with new Monday's off shorter work week. I was so stress free by the end of it, there was a little lingering tension knowing I had to go back, but other than that it was great.

I don't know why some older people become so bowel conscious. After almost 45 years of working in health care, I've made a personal decision to limit my comments to ten seconds or so, and only if specifically asked about it in a doctor's office type of situation.

 I'd add that the only thing that compares to the two or three workday early Monday morning BM's used to be right before getting on the track back when I was motorcycle road racing (150mph+ around a blind corner).   

 I guess even the thought of work scares the ....t out of me.

Science backs the squatty potty. Human anatomy shows that we were not meant to go #2 in the position we put ourselves in using a western toilet, which makes sense if you think about it like an animal. If you were in the woods and you had to go, would you hang out 2 feet off the ground? No, you would squat. There are middle eastern and Asian countries where the toilets are basically on the ground. You straddle them and squat. Hemorrhoids aren't nearly the problem there as they are in western countries.

 Oh, yeah. I have the same short problem. My husband made me one, and not only do things... come out better, but my lower back pain is improved.  Since there's a hint of Asian-inspired construction in mine, we have lovingly dubbed it the poo pagoda.

I don't understand the obsession with bells and whistles on a toilet. Is the food so bad that they live on the toilet or something? Do they hang out on it? "Oh hey man, what's up? Just taking a shit and thought I'd call one of my boys so we would talk about last week's The Walking Dead episode."
