Hi all! Can you please recommend me a website for elderly parents or a good book to read about senior life? While browsing all the categories here, I have noticed that I am not fit here. I just joined because of an article about Mr. Money Mustache and my sons told me so, as for them... discussing and sharing your life to strangers help a lot, especially in today's virtual world. I want to comment on every posts here; but I'd rather read all the threads, since I am having a hard time to type the ideas on my mind but sometimes I really do care about the topic and other discussions. I just simply resist myself to comment because I am also quite fearful that my thoughts won’t help.

There are quite a few of us on here who are older, we are just outnumbered.  We are more likely to be retired, our bodies are not up to everything the younger ones are doing,  and we hope we have gained a bit of wisdom along the way.  But we are here.

Reading all the posts on the MMM website is a good idea, there is lots to learn there, no matter what your age.  And the forums can be interesting/educational/exasperating - there are good posts and bad - so feel free to jump in, the water is fine!

What type of "senior life" are you picturing?  I like the book "How to retire wild, happy, and free" by Zelinski, but I'm not sure if that fits in your criteria because I'm not 100% sure what you're looking for.  Can you elaborate?

I just simply resist myself to comment because I am also quite fearful that my thoughts won’t help.

We'd love your wisdom, feel free to comment away.  :)

Welcome to the Forum!

I hope that you choose to stay and contribute when it feels right and/or helpful. I've found this space to friendly and accepting as well as incredibly helpful. I've posted at least four questions and have come away with new info, insights and tools.
- One way to get started might be to tell us what your ideal "senior life" would look like and invite ideas/feedback
- Another way would be share with us a particular challenge you're facing and ask for ideas, possible strategies

Best wishes,
