I'm working on a lazy man's Mint Juleps: Wild Turkey Bourbon with a splash of Creme De Menthe over ice.
*sip*
-
Cocoa coffee, very tasty.
-
Diet Cherry Coke strait from the two liter bottler. Arr!
-
Rye Whiskey with a splash of lemon juice over ice. Yum!
-
Hot water.
-
Water. But I did have some Mount Gay on the rocks before that.
-
Rainwater and pure-grain alcohol.
-
Jimmy Beam on ice.
-
Gin & Tonic.
We've got to build up our quinine quotient, to protect ourselves from Malaria, West Nile Virus, and now we have to add Zika Virus to that list too. 😜
-
Coffee (free office coffee!).
But I recently realized how flippin easy it is to make an old fashioned (it has different names):
Honey syrup (boil 1:1 honey/water, will keep in the fridge for about a week)
Bourbon
Lemon juice
Stir or shake, pour over ice. Pretty easy to have a few too many.
-
Our regular morning smoothie: apple juice, kale and collards from the garden, half a banana, ground flax, chocolate flavored super food, and peanut butter- a new one with coconut oil mixed in which is so yummy.
-
Room temperature water. My go to.
-
Free office coffee. It's tolerable, but not great.
-
Coffee with whole milk and sugar.
The coffee is from Kirkland brand whole beans.
-
Coffee.
I ground the coffee at home and schlepped it to my office where I made a strong cup. My anti-mustachian colleague, meanwhile, forks over at least $2 per day to buy coffee for herself.
-
Diet Dr Pepper. I would buy some stock but it doesn't yield high enough for me. Cheers!
-
English breakfast tea.
-
I'm about to make a cup of Irish breakfast tea.
-
Pepsi 1893 Ginger Cola.
Was never a huge fan of ginger ales I've tried before, but man this stuff is amazing.
-
A nice glass of Catalan red
-
Monkey Shoulder
-
Water
-
Water - but still at work and could do with a G&T
-
Water and I'm just about to make tea.
-
Diet Mountain Dew, but there's a new brewery opening this evening, so it'll be double IPA is T-7 hours or so. :)
-
Rainwater and pure-grain alcohol.
+1 on the Dr. Strangelove reference
-
Green tea.
-
Wine!:)
-
Optimum Nutrition BCAA drink, Blue Raspberry flavor!
-
Earl Grey tea.
-
Ballast Point Sculpin Grapefruit IPA
-
English breakfast tea, a dash of milk and no sugar.
Probably not the best drink at 11:20pm, but what the hell, I'm meant to be studying for an exam tomorrow afternoon :)
-
YELLOW TAIL BIG BOLD RED Muddafukkahas... 2
-
Black tea with almond milk.
-
Water.
Tap, neat.

I've started preferring a rum with a fun name/label which costs an atrocious* $45CDN/litre in Ontario, but a mere $17CDN/litre at Duty Free. I am quite toasted on that at the moment, and finishing with plenty of lovely, included-in-my-rent tap water. Best of both worlds on a Saturday night.
*on a societal level I'm not opposed; I'm a socialist and it makes sense to tax luxuries, and keep those taxes off of necessities. As a cheapskate, though, yikes!
-
Mosaic IPA.
-
YELLOW TAIL BIG BOLD RED Muddafukkahas... 2
This explains so, so much. LOL
-
2006 Toolern Vale Hills Pinot Noir.
It's a bit more tanniny than I'd really like, but for $4 a bottle I can't complain too much.
-
Yuengling Oktoberfst straight out of the 12 oz glass bottle. Almost room temp now. Still tastes good.
-
O'so Infectious Groove. Not typically a fan of sours but this is damn good. Just a bit tart, would be perfect for a hot summer day.
-
A nice Jacob's Creek Chardonnay.
-
My sixth cup of green tea for the day.
-
Celestial Seasonings Tea: one bag Morning Thunder + one bag Bengal Spice.
-
3rd cup of mediocre office coffee :)
-
I am drinking a nice cold glass of dihydrogen monoxide.
-
Wolf Blass Yellow label Shiraz.. So nice I am going to have a second glass.. Yes it is Friday night down here!
-
Free office coffee here as well. I get to make decisions about office coffee so we have a higher-end keurig (which pains me environmentally but is smart for the office environment) with higher-end coffee pods. So the coffee I get at work is pretty darn good.
-
Sweet tea, courtesy of the drug rep who brought lunch to our office today :)

Lagunitas Imperial Stout
-
Lagunitas Imperial Stout
Wut? Love Lagunitas' beer but don't think I've seen that one.
I've just found the bottom of a glass of The Archivist Pinot Noir. 2013 I think. Sonoma Co., I think.
Sadly Bota Box Redvolution started giving me headaches, so I've gone back to spendier bottles.

I had never seen or heard of that beer either. Found it at Target of all places!
Drinking black coffee that has real cocoa oils in the grounds, like a drip version of a cafe mocha.
-
Drinking black coffee with some cinnamon -- a suggestion from one of the threads. It definitely does feel like a treat, so thank you for the idea!
-
Good ol tap water is my go to.
@ work: one of the doctors left behind fancy canned sparkling water. I have been killing that stuff! All because I cleaned the fridge
Caffine: maxwell house in a reusable kcup thing. The Kcup machine was free :)
alcohol: I have been working off a bottle of jack honey for ever. Mix with iced tea and prepare for a good day.
-
I went to Costco on my way home from work. I bought a case of Bud Light and a case of Corona Light. I am drinking the Bud Light. I am taking the Corona Light to the BBQ I am going to on Memorial Day.

Ice water - crazy hot and spent a few hours outside, and my ankles and feet are swollen.
-
A fantastic manhattan, curtesy of Mr. Marvie, who met me at the door with a drink and a cookie.
It's been the kind of terrible day that has a person re-calculating their FIRE spreadsheets to see if it's maybe possible to retire in the next week. (it isn't. *sigh*)

Nespresso with almond milk. Trying to kick dairy and sugar.
Good luck with the kicking of the sugar!!
I am drinking room temperature water right now. Every time I see this thread pop up, it reminds me to drink more H2O. (I live in the dry US Southwest. The humidity today is 28%.) So thanks for that!
-
Water. Body has been complaining I have not been drinking enough. Le sorry.
-
Yellow Tail Big Bold Red. I got three bottles for Fathers Day
-
Coffee (from the office machine). Sadly I think the machine is getting made redundant at the EOFY. But on the plus side, I've been lucky enough to have coffee provided in every job I've ever worked.
-
A "norcal" margarita: tequila (left over from a generous friend's visit), lime juice, and sparkling water. Delicious and low sugar =)

Hmm, that sounds good, and I've got some tequila infusing with josta berries right now...
This morning - bullet proof coffee with an egg and a dab of maple syrup, in lieu of breakfast since I'm headed to a meeting with free lunch today.
Last night, Ste. Chapelle Riesling since I got 6 bottles for ~ 79 cents apiece after mail in rebate. Usually I'm partial to reds, but this is kind of nice as a spritzer with seltzer water and a bit of tart cherry juice in the summer.
-
Currently drinking my ONE cup of coffee for the day (with a little bit of cream, yum). 11 days and counting of just one cup per day. Down from one pot per day. Ahem.
Yesterday and today I didn't wake up with a headache from it! Progress.

Martin Luther herbal tea (a souvenir from a recent trip to Germany)
-
Can of coke when I woke up and now a glass of water with lemon.
-
Eight O'clock coffee (hazelnut flavored) with hazelnut flavored creamer. (Can you tell I like hazelnut)?
I'd use Frangelico but I'm at work and someone might notice.

Still successfully doing this, by they way.
So I am currently drinking my one, extremely savored cup of coffee for the day.
-
My office has a fancy espresso machine that I got a bit carried away with when we first got it. I don't really feel the caffeine effects when I drink it, I just really like the taste, so it was easy to drink a ton of it. The bad effect was if I went more than 24 hours without any (like on a weekend) and I got raging headaches. Last summer I was at 2x 3-shot espresso over ice, plus maybe a cup or two of drip later in the day. I just dropped last week from 2x double-shot espressos/day to a single triple shot. So far so good, no headaches or anything yet!
-
Hawkers Pilsner. It's quite decent, a bit hoppier than the average pilsner.
Perfect weather for sitting outside having a few beers, it's almost 10pm and still very warm.
-
Columbia Supremo from the French Press.
-
This.
-
Pour over coffee. AKA, holy-crap-I-haven't-stayed-up-until-midnight-in-like-2-years, and now I really need a second cup today.
Bedtime at 8pm? Yes please.
-
Jimmy Beam again, this time "black".
-
Peppermint Mocha Kahlua n cream.
-
Very mustachian. Coffee is $4.99 for 34 ounce can from cheap store. Tastes great! Very strong flavor.
Alcohol is $9.99 a case (24) Hurricane malt liqour at 8.1% ABV. And I like the taste! What a deal.
Alternating with Lake Placid Ubu Ale 7% ABV heavy English Ale on sale for $19.99 a case (reg $38).
And Ballast Point Sculpin IPA 7% ABV on sale for $24.99 a case (reg $53 !!). Past its expiration date, but still tastes good to me.
-
Bay blend coffee from trader joe's from my $7 drip coffee maker.
Don't get me wrong, I like the coffee out of my french press better, but ain't happening on a work day when I've got a programmable coffee maker.
-
Hot water. I'm teleworking and the cheapskates who live here keep this house freezing cold.
-
2 Towns "Made Marion" hard cider. Perfection.

Mountain Goat Pale Ale. :)

Considering another shot at Dry January. If not that, then certainly more moderation next year.
Also... forgot to give you your port today! Have to give it to you at NYE.

"Winter Jack" hot cider from Jack Daniels

Ginger Ninja cider by Two Towns Cider. God I love their cider. Also, now there's no booze in the house. Hoorah! Liver will rest for January.

Also, now there's no booze in the house. Hoorah! Liver will rest for January.
My liver needs a rest in January but if I tried to drink all the booze in the house I think it would be resting permanently!

I sent most all of it with my parents when they left. The single can of Ginger Ninja and one bottle of wine ducked the purge though, so SirB and I finished them off today.
-
Water, iz good.
-
Celestial Seasonings Bengal Spice tea. Yum.
-
A little orange juice, a splash of pom, topped with sparkling mineral water.
Doing a sober month (minimum), and this scratches the "fancy drink and bartending" itch.

Bulletproof coffee: 2 shots of espresso blended with hemp milk, grass-fed whole milk, coconut oil, grass-fed butter, and MCT oil.
-
"inherited" beer. ILs didn't want a couple Budweisers that got left at their house. Not my general preference, but a nice treat after a long hike today. I'm not too proud or too rich to turn down free beer, especially while doing an uber frugal month =)
-
BotaBox pinot noir + cheetos. Because it's a match made in heaven
-
Coffee.
-
Water, before that coffee.
-
Free starbucks @ work. Yum
-
Coffee. Lots of it. I keep threatening to get an espresso machine, but haven't found a reasonably priced one.

Moka pot coffee.

Free work coffee, with coconut oil.

Have you tired and aeropress or mokapot? Probably the next best thing instead of buying a $500 (or is it $1000+?) espresso machine.

Water.

Sparkling water with a splash of vanilla and bourbon cask aged bitters. Non alcoholic, and scratches the 'fancy booze' itch for much cheaper.
-
Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. So good.
-
Trader Joes pinot noir.
And.. I have an espresso machine for sale (GAGGIA CLASSIC)
-
Water :)
-
Coopers Sparkling Ale. A great big 750ml bottle of it. (about 25.3oz)
Nice stuff.
Followed by Hawkers Pilsner. A nice beer, and local too :)
-
coffee with milk, second cup
-
Bota Box cab (for the first time). I'm a fan!

Left Hand Milk Stout Nitro. So good.
Indeed, one of my favorite Milk Stouts, kudos.
I am drinking water.

Tap water. Yum.
It is a tap water day for me as well. Although the last two hours I've been fighting coffee temptation. It's getting late enough though, the urge will go away soon hopefully haha.

Homemade "I'm sick" latte:
Ginger and turmeric tea, made by boiling water w/ chopped up root for 5-10 minutes
Strain the root and add:
Honey
Lemon
Coconut oil
MCT oil
Splash of whiskey
Blend with an immersion blender and feel like you're not sick.

Fresh orange juice.
-
Lagunitas Cappuccino Stout.
-
Vanilla Whiskey over ice.

Homemade margarita: blanco tequila, fresh-squeezed lime juice, triple sec.

Jack Rabbit barrel aged gin with Boylan Heritage gin. Not mustachian, but so good.

Does anyone have a substitute for white wine that actually satisfies? I like ginger ale but only drink diet soda and they don't cut the mustard.
-
House Red wine at a United Airlines lounge. Not the greatest ever but a free perk from my United Miles credit card! I've had this card for a couple years but haven't taken advantage of the Lounge pass before, it's really nice, but definitely not worth the full cost...
-
LaCroix natural peach-pear flavored sparkling water
-
Gevallia coffee this morning.
Had a little Michter's Single Barrel Straight Rye Whiskey on the rocks last night.
-
2 cups of coffee and large cup of water. My regiment pretty much every morning

I am drinking mead, made from our apples and a neighbor’s honey. Another neighbor makes it, and splits the batch three ways between him, and the two donors of products. I don’t love it but it is OK.

How do you know if it's apple flavored mead or honey flavored apple wine?
-

Like a non-alcoholic substitute?
I mostly drink sparkling water from my soda stream.
If I want to get super fancy, I toss in a nuun strawberry lemonade tablet. (electrolytes)
-
Some people put bitters in seltzer or club soda. I am unfamiliar with them. Can anyone comment on what is tasty, how you use them and what flavors or brands you use? I am a babe in the woods with bitters. I also have a soda stream and hate all the flavors they offer to make soda.
I would like something closer to a biting ginger ale. Something that stings the tongue in a bubbly seltzer, club soda type drink with a hint of sweetness.

I can’t remember the brand name, but you should be able to find grapefruit bitters (my favorite) and other flavored bitters at a well stocked liquor store. A few dashes in seltzer or club soda makes a nice, refreshing, and not-sweet drink.
We also have a soda stream and use it to make seltzer without the soda flavors. Husband bought these little packets called True Lemon (also available in lime and orange) that are unsweetened, crystallized lemon juice/flavor. Those are also good in seltzer.
-
Current status: a well-shaken, fairly dry martini with New Amsterdam gin and a twist of lemon.

Coopers Sparkling Ale. A great big 750ml bottle of it. (about 25.3oz)
Nice! Did you turn it over a few times to stir up the residue? I really like their pale ale when I visit S. Aus.
Now drinking a Villiera 2012 vintage bubbly from South Africa at a Monday morning work event. I can't imagine who decided to serve quality booze on a Monday morning, but it would be rude to turn it down.

A decent California old vines Zinfandel that I picked up for $10/bottle at Aldi.
-
Coffee and water to get things moving!
-
Coffee, water, milk- in order of importance!
-
Morning Coffee and Water. I don't think I would really add anything other than water because if I was having a cocktail or something different I wouldn't be near my computer as i don't drink soda or juices or milk and I don't drink really alcohol other than occasionally a beer but in the summer time. Usually have a cocktail or at most two on the weekends if we go out.
-
French pressed/hand ground Trader Joe's Dark Roast.
-
This morning I was drinking Starbucks Sumatra Blend from my french press. Drank it while doing my early morning hot tub soak.
Last night was home brewed Block Party Amber Ale out of my kegerator.
This FIRE stuff ain't for wimps people!
-
Last night: husband graciously shared some of the limited-edition Ardbeg that he received for his birthday.
This morning: black coffee and water (as usual).
-
Right now I'm having a beer.
It's in a 22 ounce 'festival' mug that I bought yesterday for $1 . The same mug was $15 back in 2016 when it was the 2016 mug for the 2016 festival. Same mug now, just 3 years later, now $1 . Score !! And, I can use it for the 2019 festival too.
The beer I'm having in the $1 festival mug is Bronx Brewery 'No Resolutions IPA'.
I picked up this IPA for about half price since it was nearing the expiration date.
-
Magistrate Cabernet Sauvignon - my new favorite, reasonably priced wine. It was HandCraft Pinot Noir, but then it seems everyone else discovered it, and it sold out.
As far as a white wine sub - sometimes I'll drink kombucha when I want a drink, but don't want to drink. It has that fermented, bubbly thing going for it; I pour it in a wine glass a little at a time, and it usually hits the spot. YMMV, I hardly ever drink white wines and never chardonnay.
-
I brought home an open bottle of white from a work event, & then resealed it. Opened it tonight & . . . forgot how much I dislike viognier. Had one glass.
After dinner, I'm drinking a lemon ginger tea.
-
Coffee and water
-
Sexton single-malt Irish whiskey.
-
Nothing. Drank my last slug of Balvenie Double Wood 12yr yesterday...
-
Ginger lemon tea. Before that, a glass of my favorite chardonnay (Chalk Hill) while making dinner. So delicious, so expensive. My husband usually buys me a bottle for holidays.
-
Milk
-
It won't be ready for a few months, but last week I started a handle of coconut rum: 1.75 L of captain morgan's white rum, 1 packet of sweetened coconut flakes, let steep for three months. The end result is in a whole other class than the suntan lotion with alcohol crap that dominates the market.

A nice, frosty glass of milk.

Anyone make kombucha? If so, is there a no calorie one?

Masala tea, a little bit of milk. Nice stuff.

Black coffee.

Captain White is underrated. Too many trophy bourbons to pick one, but for the money, Old Forester 1897 is fantastic. For an everyday old-fashioned:
Old Forester 1897 (Woodford 100p if you can get it, or Knob Creek SB is good, too)
Woodford Cherry bitters
Simple syrup
Orange peel
Maraschino cherry
(splash water or amaretto if desired)
Rum: El Dorado 12yr (any time), Foursquare vintage (special occasion)
Scotch: Balvenie 14yr Carribean. Only 1 left :/. Haven't had my Shackleton 2nd release yet, but the 1st was great (have about one pour left on that one).
And you know, coffee.
-
Fizzy water. I said that just because I'm posting to follow.

Coffee. It's breakfast.

An unsweetened iced tea from Popeyes because I needed to take a bathroom break while out and about today, and I feel like I need to buy something when I use an establishment’s facilities.
-
I was so happy to see my local liquor warehouse stock Arran Scotch.
I had had some of this at a bourbon bar, and I liked it so much I looked up where to order it and was thinking about ordering it and then dropped that plan. The warehouse does not stock the older aged product that I really liked, but the 10 year aged Scotch is decent.I’ve been to the isle of Arran several times, that is where my husband’s auntie lived.
-
A very good mojito. Our local produce market had an abundance of fragrant mint and limes at 7/$1 this morning.
-
Coffee and water. On another note if your a whiteclaw drinker or things in that category I stumbled upon Henry's and there 2 cases for the price of one so for a "drink" after really enjoying them I went and bought 2 more cases. I saw the rep he said the promotion is going on for another week or two.

A.C. Byrne Cabernet Merlot from Aldi. It's OK.
Aldi actually has a decent beer and wine selection at reasonable prices.
you can get stuff that will give you a headache for $2.98 or nice stuff with 90 points for $8... its got something for everyone!
9 am here. drinking big box store coffee with some milk in it

Kirkland silver tequila (from Costco). It is surprisingly smooth and decent. I think I paid $20 for a 1.5-L bottle (before tax).

Midday apple & ginger herbal tea

Coffee and water

Gin and tonic. But for health reasons, I've cut back to just one:

A dry martini after a weekend with my young niece and nephew. I love them to bits, but I am worn out and glad to be the fun auntie with her own (quiet) house right now. Mmm, adult beverage.
-
Too much coffee
-
Because my post bariatric surgery life requires me to eat high protein and high fat: large splash of heavy cream, 1 Splenda, a scoop of Unjury protein powder, and some freshly brewed New Orleans blend coffee. It is a very pale concoction.
-
@Roadrunner53 old question on the kombucha, but since no one answered you. The kombucha mother needs sugar to feed on for the fermentation process to happen, so there aren't any calorie-free kombuchas. However, an unflavored one will only run you about 20-25 calories per 8 oz serving.
Current drink: Juggernaut Hillside Cabernet. Too expensive to be an everyday wine, but damn' is it tasty. I opened it to drown my sorrows this weekend, which marked 10 months since my horse joined the injured list.

Coffee and Water!

Bottomless Jasmine tea at yum cha
-
Vodka soda made with Kirkland vodka, homemade carbonated water, and homemade Five Alive bitters.

Actually something different. Iced unsweetened green tea which I absolutely love!

A cup of coffee as black and raw as my soul.

I've forgotten to finish the tea the night before and then been too cheap to throw out the dregs in the morning too. :P

The usual. Nature's champagne: H2O.
Ah, refreshing.
I'm having what he's having.

I bought some shelf stable Almond milk from Costco. It is their brand. I am not a typical almond milk drinker normally. I found that the almond milk tasted slightly metallic. Has anyone else experienced that? I added a little Nestle Quick Powder to it and it helped mask the metallic taste.
I see somewhere that oat milk is the 'it' thing. Anyone drink it and what are the benefits? Do you get more fiber in it?

Coffee right now, but I bought a 12-pack of Shiner Oktoberfest beer a couple weeks ago and told myself I wouldn't drink any until the high for the day failed to reach 90 degrees F. It's looking like today will be that day. 1 beer with dinner ^_^

@Roadrunner53 oat milk is supposed to help lower cholesterol the same way oats do. The big win for manufacturers is oats are way cheaper than almonds. It combines nicely with muesli (cause oats) but does have that oat/porridge flavour which in my opinion is not the best combo with coffee. Rice milk is a bit more neutral.
Drinking espresso in prep for running in the rain with my dog.

It's also cruel the way the oats are milked until their nipples are chafed and raw.

Honey chamomile tea.

Does anyone have a good decaf drip coffee to recommend? I am currently drinking one I bought from Amazon, but it’s so fine it makes a mess in the coffee pot. I need coffee to mix with medical-grade protein powder in the mornings. Thanks!

Black adder licorice spice tea

Enjoyed a nice Barrel-Aged Irish Coffee Imperial Stout from Community Beer Co. here in Dallas this weekend.
-
An assortment of beers from the cases stacked up in my kitchen next to the fridge. Genessee cream ale ice. GBC (Genessee Brewing Co) Scotch Ale. Lord Hobo Pils. And Lord Hobo Chocolate Porter. At this exact moment am enjoying a Scotch Ale. .

Coffee. The first cup of the day is the best.

English Breakfast tea
I found a singleton packet of English Breakfast Tea while decluttering, so I am having it now. In the future I'll be slowly consuming some tea that is cluttering up my kitchen. I am really a coffee drinker, but will work the tea in somehow, lol.

A nice glass of rose.
-
Green rooibos, ginger and peppermint ice tea

Wolf of the Willows XPA. Nice beer, it's got enough hop flavour to be interesting but it's not 'knock your head off' in ABV (4.7%).
-
Right now it's coffee and milk, but later today will probably be Miller High Life in clear cold bottles.
Usually I drink the heavy-hopped high gravity 8% abv headsmasher beers, but lately I've been happy to have a few old fashioned regular brews, namely the Miller High Life, only 4.5% abv I think. Something so smooth and clean and just right about it.

The last of the black coffee from this morning's pot.
-
Double shot espresso from our lil machine.
-
Bottled water. I know, shame on me.

A nice glass of chilled Cape Point sauvignon blanc. Because it's a warm Friday afternoon :-)

Dawn Fraser 1975 Australian vintage port

A huge mug of Stash licorice spice tea.

Crown Royal BLACK with diet soda - *sip*

Had this when we were in Paris. Just as good now at home.

Currently sipping a single pour of Kirkland (Costco) Añejo tequila, neat. Good stuff, and at $30/liter, really can’t be beat. It’s a very nice treat after a long, busy weekend.

I like hard seltzers (Whiteclaw & Truly). In true MMM style, there was a rebate for another brand (Bon & Viv), making the cost $0. I couldn't resist.
Let's just say it's been a failed experiment. But, drinking the last of the Bon & Viv. This flavor is cranberry. I'm a huge fan of the tropical Truly & Whiteclaw flavors. Pineapple & mango, but passion fruit is m favorite.

I'm on the morning mojo tea: green tea, cocoa peel, spearmint, green coffee, ginseng, chilli.
It's pretty tasty!
