Title: Sustainability / Green / Eco Blogs?

Since my finances are pretty much automated on the good path these days, I'm spending a lot less time thinking about frugality and a lot more time thinking about sustainability.

This one's harder and sometimes I feel completely overwhelmed about how hard it is to be a responsible consumer.  For instance:  what the hell am I supposed to do about sunscreen?

I'd like to read the blogs of people struggling with these ideas.  However I DONT want to stumble into the anti-gmo anti-vaccine "natural" blogoverse. 

Does anyone have well-regarded sustainability blogs to recommend?

Written by MMM forum user NWEdible/Erica or something along those lines.  Not purely a sustainability blog, but alot of homesteading, gardening and DIY for all aspects of life. ie I'm sure there is a diy sunscreen recipe on her site somewhere.

For a podcast to checkout I like

While it can be a little tin foil hat-ish and ranty at times there is some good information on homesteading, energy efficiency, prepping, and general self sufficiency....if you can manage through some of the more extreme stuff.

Good luck! Finding anything about sustainability that isn't secretly just anti-science, anti-corporate nonsense sounds impossible

I'm ok with anti-corporate!  Anti-science, not so much.

Thanks for the recommendations, Cromacster.  Unfortunately I think a prepping podcast is....not for me.  But I will check out NWEdible's blog!

Not sure how much of their content is on the web versus the print magazine, but Mother Earth News is a mostly sane place for what you're looking for.

I'll of course +1 Erica, though to be honest I think her book has more direct appeal since it focuses a lot more on natural home keeping than the blog, which is mostly about gardening, which AFAIK you aren't big on currently.
