Isn't there a law about business leaders not wearing them in bed?
Socks compliance, or something like that.
I think you're on to something. We need our law enforcement community to go into CEO bedrooms and check their feet every night. The business environment would improve immediately.

This sort of bedroom investigation sounds like it could lead to damaging public socks scandals.

Or even worse, socks with sandals.  The CEOs wouldn't be de-feet-ed easily.
They would if they lived in sand-spur country.

Would this sort of thing impact my investments in the sock market?

The sock market goes up and down. Above the knee, below the ankle, who knows where it will be next.

I would look to the commodities markets - socks of bean socks.

The Venomous Spaz Beast, an inveterate little pirate, will rip socks right off my feet to steal them. She's been doing this since she was a puppy. She even knows to pull from the heel or roll them down from the top. Accordingly, I cannot wear socks to bed.

Yes and no.  I read somewhere that it's hard to fall asleep if your feet are cold.  Generally, I don't wear socks in bed, but during the time of the year when it's cold (for So Cal, anyway), like now - I often will put on wool socks (with my t shirt and shorts) before I go to sleep.  Then I kick them off when I get up to pee.

Update: I've been dabbling in wool socks lately, and I will (wool?) say that I find them much less uncomfortable to wear in bed, compared to cotton socks.

My feet have to be icicles for me to resort to such a desperate measure.

I wore thick socks in bed last night.  All night.  It was freezing. 👎👎

(I watched Deadpool and Wolverine a few nights ago and there was a mention of a special sock.  I thought of your workplace and this thread, @Sailor Sam .)

Nope. Dry skin + microfiber is alot like handling fiberglass insulation to me. Nope. When they are used up, it's back to the old terry towel train from the kitchen/bath to garage rag.

You know they make socks for hands, but they call them gloves, yes?

It's crazy warm all of a sudden, so I'm going to sleep without socks tonight. Woo-hoo!

Definitely temporary. Too much pressure otherwise.
