How is Detroit #8 while North Korea is #10? Smoking something definitely.
Well, perhaps North Korea is not that dangerous if you stick to their rules
Relevant Wait But Why:
http://waitbutwhy.com/2013/09/20-things-i-learned-while-i-was-in.htmlAlso I was in Detroit three weeks ago. Enjoyed a Lion's game. Some parts were run down, but for the article in question, "20 Most Dangerous Vacation Destinations" I'd be more interested in real numbers - the number and percent of tourists killed while visiting locations.
I'm betting most of those places are fairly safe.
For Detroit, for example, the article says:
Perhaps, it’s a great surprise for you but Detroit is one of the dangerous places to go on a vacation. It has been heading the list of the most dangerous US cities for 5 years. Crimes are widespread here. However, if you are eager to visit this Motor City in spite of all the threats, just be careful and make sure you enjoy all of the city’s amazing attractions.
Most dangerous according to what metrics? Sure, if you're a young male of certain races in gangs living there it may be dangerous. What percent of tourists are injured there?
Also articles that split up something like that into 20 pages to improve their ad impressions are stupid. Make it a policy not to link to them, IMO.
