A coworker called me to help troubleshoot a printer on the factory assembly line which was not printing out the necessary papers. He said the printer looked fine and had plenty of paper.
Sometimes the printing application is not configured properly, but when I examined the application everything was fine.
I did a test print, and as soon as the page was released into the tray, a gust of wind caught the paper and carried it several feet away. I showed my coworker this, and after cursing the fan across the aisle, we picked up the papers scattered across the floor. The root cause was fixed by rotating the printer so the tray faced away from the fan.
