Pictures of things taken completely apart

I thought this was pretty cool, and the message to appreciate things in terms of reuse and recycling potential is Mustachian: http://www.npr.org/blogs/pictureshow/2013/04/30/180125029/things-come-very-very-apart

This sounds idiotic I know, but I never realised how many components went into everyday items.  And your right, it does make me think more about the waste, throwing out a broken toaster seems easy but throwing out all the individual pieces of it seems so wasteful. I have a small cordless chainsaw that's stopped working, I'm tempted to take it apart now.

This is very cool!  I love the photos where all the pieces are very neatly organized - how sweet!!!

From very early childhood, this was my favourite hobby. So far back I can't remember when it started.
I CAN remember pieces didn't get stacked quite as neatly, and things never quite got back together again afterwards...

I've gotten better at that part, honest. Still, thanks. Those photos brought me a nostalgic smile.

Great photos. My family is strong in male Puller-apparters. The family joke was about being able to put whatever back to together again with some parts left over "and it still works"...hmmm kinda

Wow, a phone plan for fifteen bucks!
