The Norwegian state tv channel has earlier had big success with filming a long train trip, sea journey, log fire, and making a woollen sweater. Now they are doing the best one ever: following a sami family and their reindeer herd (1500 animals) from their winter grazing areas to the summer grazing. It is simply reindeer eating and walking 24/7 for about a week, intermixed with some interviews with the herders. We didn't know when it would start, since the head female reindeer is the one who decides when to start the migration, and we don't know how long it will take; almost all the females are pregnant, so you can't hurry them. Most of the time you can only hear the reindeer walking, other times they use traditional or contemporary Sami music in the background. Everything is slow, calm, and there are no breaks for advertisements.
