Fun partisan song about the conservative party of Canada
« on: August 31, 2015, 05:35:19 PM »
A local folk singer has dredged up most of the scandalous behaviour of our current prime minister and made a very humorous song about it.

I had been thinking about posting this. The man singing it is a federal public servant and was suspended with pay because of the song. Apparently this impacts the impartiality of a (muzzled) federal scientist who studies migratory birds...

I have no idea if this was the plan but the CBC article I read said he was 1 month away from retiring. Maybe one of those things you do when you have FU money and on the way out anyway...

And if he hadn't been suspended the song would have stayed in obscurity instead of receiving half a million views on youtube.

If I was one month away from retiring, I would love to be suspended with pay. You can start your retirement immediately and continue getting paid.

Catchy. Funny how there are so many things to complain about that the song takes over five minutes. But I was distressed that everybody in the video looks like the neighbours who call the city when you put your garbage out ten minutes too early.

Unless you lose your government pension if you are fired with cause.

I'm pretty sure if you're vested (which this guy would be) you don't lose your pension (not even the part of it contributed by your employer/government) if you're fired for cause.

Unless the cause is a terrorist attack on the economic security of the country.
