Thich Nhat Hanh, the great Buddhist teacher, author, and peace activist has died peacefully in Vietnam at the age of 95. I have read many of his books and had hoped to one day meet him. One could not help but to feel peace, compassion, and love by merely hearing his voice. He was a great inspiration to many and will be greatly missed. Rest in peace Thay!

It was lovely that he got to pass in his temple in Hue Vietnam. He was such an influential teacher and compassionate presence.

I was privileged to see him a decade ago when he led a retreat at one of his US centers, Magnolia Grove near Batesville, MS. As ONAG said, he did create a feeling of peace, compassion and love.

I benefitted from reading some of his works as well. He made a real contribution to humanity.
