How much of each type of food makes up your diet?
My diet is APPROXIMATELY 15% beans (Can't stand them, sorry), 5% quinoa or brown rice, 15% meat (my meals usually have a small portion of meat), 5% milk (breakfast), 10% bread, 5-10% sugar (Trying to undergo sugar addiction therapy), and 30% fruits & veggies (Snacks). The other 20% is other.
(Keep in mind, this is on an AVERAGE day. "Pigging out" does not count.)
Comment on what you eat, and your ideal food categorization.

I'm confused. Pigging out days should be included in your average already - is your description actually of a "typical" day?

I guess "pigging out" could be considered. But then if we include childhood.... let's just say that my diet was about 10% beans and 90% sugar at Halloween :3

I've never thought of it as a in a % basis so these are rough guesstimates with about 5% +/- depending on what I happen to be making.
Meat - 15%
Eggs -5%
Nuts and Seeds - 10%
Healthy Fats - 5%
Non-gluten grains 5%
Non-Starchy Veg - 20%
Starchy Veg - 15%
Fruit - 15%
Other - Spices, condiments etc. - 5%
Sugar - Trace added Sugars

Good point. I went with what generally makes up my plate. Cost would probably be very different.
