Cruz v. Sanders: A difference in opinions from non-supporters
« on: February 02, 2016, 03:45:55 PM »
Just for discussion...
I've noticed an interesting difference in the way individuals who are either undecided or supporting someone else talk about both Cruz and Sanders.

When talking about Sanders, the common refrain I hear is;
"Sanders' biggest challenge is convincing the country that his policies won't cause our country to fall apart, and that we would be better off if we made his changes - and it's a hard argument to swallow."

in contrast...
when talking about Cruz, I keep hearing the following
"Cruz is trying to convince the country that we need to change, and if we don't rescind the policies of the last 8 years our country will fall apart - and it's a hard argument to swallow."

Or - to put it another way, Cruz seems to be arguing that we must change or our country will fall apart, whereas Sanders seems to be making the argument that if we change our country will become stronger.

I'm certain there's a high level of bias here, which is why I'm putting this out for discussion.  the question:
Q: if you could sum it up in 1-2 sentences, what do you think the overarching message of Bernie Sanders and Ted Cruz is?
