Celebs You Hate for No Objective Reason

A throwaway thread to be sure.  Mine is Ben Affleck. It looks like he's a nice enough guy, I don't know of anything particularly stupid he's ever said or done, nor is he distinguishable by any trait that I normally despise.  Indeed, if he were to ruin the Batman franchise I would actually feel indebted to him.  Does anybody else have a celebrity they have the same feeling about?

Haha, I feel like a lot of people hate Ben Affleck. I like him! One thing that is hard for me to admit to people is that I really dislike Julia Roberts AND Tom Hanks. I know, it's so un-American!!! I just hate watching them in movies because they're TOO famous. I never feel like I can get into the story or really believe that they are their character. Instead I'm like, "Why is Tom Hanks speaking with an accent and living in an airport?" Also, I really hated Forrest Gump. So goddamn long, I thought it was going to be over like 8 times.

Carson Daly has the personality and charisma of a wet mop.  Not even a dirty wet mop with some stories to tell, more like a damp mop.  And yet he continues to be employed in front of cameras talking.  It's not an objective reason, it's purely subjective.

I get that with some actors but it sort of makes the movie more interesting. Like, Dan in Real Life was awkward as hell but then I started thinking, "What if everyone is awkward because they don't want to freak out about the fact that Juliette Binoche is visiting them." I definitely would have enjoyed that airport one more if I had distracted myself with puzzling out what had happened to Hanks' career that led him to that situation. (And I agree, how is he leading man material? I've never understood it. But then I don't get Leonardo DiCaprio either. Not intended as a disparagement of their acting, there's just no charisma to me.)
You can also liven up movies by taking some famous character the actor has played, or some role you particularly identify them with, and assuming that backstory for their current character. For example, works great for any of the James Bonds.

Anyone with a toupee.  I'm obsessed with wondering who has one and who doesn't.  When I watch someone like Ben Affleck, I can't concentrate on the film because I'm watching his hairline All.The.Time.  I also notice that a lot of scenes with him in it cut the top of his head off right where his "hairline" should be.  I think they do this because it's too obviously fake. 
If anyone knows of any celebs with hairpieces, please share.  I seriously am obsessed and can't stop thinking about it.

How awesome do I feel that I haven't heard of hardly any of these people?

I hate all celebs. I hate that our culture glorifies these people who make little to no productive contributions to society while ignoring the people who really help others. If they're actors, I'm not familiar with them because 95%+ of all movies/TV shows are mindless drivel. The same with music.

One of my favorite things is when my co-workers are going on about some apparently famous celebrity who had an unexpected (usually drug-related) death. I of course bring up that I've never heard of the individual, to exclamations of disbelief. I then mention it's a curious thing that we as a society extol these people who are drug addicts and commit suicide. :P

This is an amazing idea. 

I would add Julia Roberts to the list, but I think that's just because I have a vague feeling that she's a terrible person. I also think Ben Affleck has zero charisma or acting talent. He always looks really bored, no matter what character he's playing and what film he's in.

Seriously that giant picture of Julia Roberts' face is like nails on a chalkboard to me.

I think part of my irrational dislike of her may be because when I was growing up a lot of my cousins and friends were into stupid movies like My Best Friend's Wedding. I was a PBS kid (like literally watched almost nothing but PBS... and read a lot of books) and I just didn't get it. Still seems like a dumb movie. Also I just have a really long list of movies I haven't seen (that people are SHOCKED when I say I haven't seen them). I'm on a slow project to check off the good/decent ones, but a lot of the ones I'm not really interested in are Julia Roberts movies (Pretty Woman... meh.)

I also can't stand Nicholas Cage and Laura Linney. We watch Masterpiece shows on PBS, but damn if that opening with Linney doesn't sometime ruin what follows.

I grew up in the same area as him and we occasionally played against each other in various soccer leagues. He is such a whiny little bitch. I second Drew Barrymore. I have no valid reason to dislike her, but I do all the same. I think it has something to do with the fact that I think she is vastly overrated on almost every level and where oh where is the justice in that. I have a long list of celebs I dislike for perfectly valid reasons, many have been covered already.

Adam Sandler gets a lot of good graces from me based on his early movies.  But just watching the previews of "Jack and Jill" was like watching someone get their face cut open with a chain saw in slow motion.  It made me want to physically assault him.  I think if I'd actually seen it I would be stalking him with a .50 BMG Sniper Rifle.

For many years I felt that way about The Exalted One of Acting, Meryl Streep. I think that Linney gives off that same vibe. I was just bored by Streep and couldn't relate. Now I like her, though.
