Congrats. I'm of the once and done mindset for vehicles. Don't need to cheap out with a $1000 beater, spend what you want but only if you're sure it's what you want, can pay cash, and barring external factors you'd be happy to keep it forever. It is almost always cheaper (and more environmentally friendly, for the tree huggers here) to just maintain what you have if it fits your requirements. I'm happy to say my newest vehicle is over 30 years old and I intend to keep it as long as I live. My summer transportation, a bike getting nearly 50 MPG even flogging it and having fun, is going on 50 years old. Simple, reliable, cheap to maintain and use, and satisfies my gearhead hobby.
