Anyone else a fan of Jeremy Corbin for Labour leader?
« on: July 15, 2015, 11:08:24 AM »
Just read this article: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/labour/11741659/Jeremy-Corbyn-set-to-win-Labour-leadership-shock-poll-reveals.html

Apparently anyone can pay £3 to sign up and vote in the election and I am seriously thinking of doing it! He seems like an actual, truthful, committed-to-his-cause-not-his-wallet human being. I doubt he'd win a national election (and am not sure I'd want him to) but this could be just the shakeup British politics needs.

ETA: sorry, realised my phone autocorrected his name and don't know how to change it!

When the iPhone pulls its autocorrect it has a bubble that pops up that tells you what word it's going to insert. If you want it tap the "space" bar; if you don't tap the bubble and keep typing. Also, there's a slider immediately above the keyboard provides three autocorrect options. The left one cements in the spelling you want. If auto correct proves really obnoxious you can copy/paste the word.

As an American I don't have a dog in that fight.  But even if I did repeated viewings of Yes, Minister and Yes, Prime Minister have jaded me.

Good luck with Mr. Hacker er, Corbyn.

It is a little surreal to have a potential labour leader who doesn't believe in privatising schools, hospitals and the coast guard, or on automatically invading a middle eastern country every time the poll ratings are down.
Still it is the summer silly season for UK politics.

Sorry, didn't explain myself very well - I know how my phone works but I didn't notice until after I posted. It's how to change a thread title that I don't know.
