Courses/ Certificates Worth Doing?
« on: August 15, 2020, 06:55:49 PM »
Just looking for courses or certificates that are worthwhile doing, such as on Udemy, Linkedin Learning, Coursera, EDX etc. Are there any good ones you would recommend or that hold weight?

I cannot say enough good things about The Science of Well-Being from Coursera, and it was free! I was a pretty happy person before completing the course, but the course definitely helped me boost my quality of life.  That seems to be a pretty common feeling among those who have taken it.

what topic of interest are you focused on?

I find LinuxAcademy/ACloudGuru/Udemy great for IT/Cloud/programming. Has helped my career immensely, learning AWS and Azure and Python and Terraform.

I have made a lot of personal growth gains with the sounds true app, meditation and therapy type courses. Same with udemy. I mostly enjoy the work of Tara Branch and Jack Kornfields courses.

Have you tried Linux Academy? They have a really nice variety of courses for both general knowledge and different platforms. Data Camp is also a good one if you're into data science. They have some Python, R, SQL, etc. courses that' I've enjoyed.

Are you currently in tech? Most places I've worked will give you a Pluralsight account which has a lot of courses.
