Good and Cheap - Eat Well on $4 a Day
« on: August 08, 2014, 02:03:48 PM »
Hi everyone!

I found this on the internet today and thought I'd share, seems like there are some good, Mustachian recipes in here. I know that food prices aren't the same everywhere, but I think there's at least something in here for everyone.

Book: https://8b862ca0073972f0472b704e2c0c21d0480f50d3.googledrive.com/host/0Bxd6wdCBD_2tdUdtM0d4WTJmclU/good-and-cheap.pdf

Also, the PDF is free but here is the page to donate to the author or order a hard copy if you'd like: http://www.leannebrown.ca/buy/good-and-cheap

Downloaded. I'm hoping to find a few recipes that will "level up" my kitchen skills.

The cauliflower cheese IS great! I found this book last month and planned a few of the recipes into this month's menu. Husband loves cauliflower and this recipe was a big hit. I think the author must've had large heads of cauliflower because I had to get two to have enough but mine was cheaper than hers because when I priced it out I paid less than she did for the recipe.

These recipes look great! I recently joined a friends facebook group "Clean Eating on a Budget" and loved it! She posted a shopping list and then all of the menus and recipes for the week. I actually cooked a whole chicken for the first time ever, and was able to get enough meat for several different meals/recipes.
