Becoming Minimalist and 7 Pieces of Financial Advice

For those who know me, I live pretty simply. I've raved about minimalism to the point my wife started emptying out my stuff. I'm not a full blown 'sleep on the floor' type guy, I like things, but I try to be deliberate about what I invest my time and energy into.
Here is a great article on becoming minimalist that talks about 7 financial advices that he lives by.

I find that I definitely don't live by all of them, some I'm okay with (I, for one, can keep a budget) others I wish I did sooner (like the car debt one).

I read this article, and then cringed my way through the comments with all the Dave Ramsey love. I am on a quest to reduce our stuff and live more minimally, and I've enjoyed the Becoming Minimalist blog along the way.
